Putting together a elevated garden box for pretty flowers or fresh herbs is an  innovative, modern and trendy way to get yourself and your home in touch with nature. Even if you’re living the big city life in a tiny bachelor or loft apartment, with some treated wood, screws and a drill, you can create your own elevated garden to beautify your patio or interior.

Having a small, elevated garden filled with herbs or an interesting vegetable or two will also spice up the gourmet aspects of you home by having fresh and flavourful ingredients on hand. The best vegetables to plant would be leafy greens such as lettuce and kale, onions, tomatoes or root vegetables like radishes and beets.

Alternatively, you can use your elevated garden box for perfect perennial plants such as the Japanese anemone or purple lavender bushes. So to get you started, check out these amazing DIY videos by The Rehab Life on how to build your own elevated garden box or window planter box.
