The 2018 American Express Winter Sculpture Fair

Design Joburg

The second instalment of the Design Joburg show featuring Rooms on View is taking place a the Sandton Convention Centre from 25 to 27 May 2018. This is a unique exhibit of the finest in local décor and design trade.

Black Chronicles IV

Do yourself a favour and check this powerful and super creative audio-visual exhibition depicting photographs of African people in the Victorian eras showing at the FADA gallery at the University of Johannesburg, until 31 May. Black Chronicles IV is a powerful exhibition that depicts an amazing sequence of photographic studio portraits, reprinted from original glass plates and archive prints.

25 May is Africa Day andAfrica’s largest museum of contemporary African art, the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Mocaa) is granting free entry for all between 10am and 6pm.

Wait, that’s not it… In celebration of Africa month, the museum is granting every African citizen free entry into the museum every Wednesday between 10am and 1pm. Tickets are usually R180, so don’t miss this amazing opportunity to explore more than 100 galleries of original cutting-edge contemporary art. Plus, you can finish off your visit with an insightful curator-led tour from 3pm.
