How To Add Warmth To Your Bathroom

Organic Elements

Adding organic elements to a bathroom can make space feel warm and soulful, however, it is important not to oversaturate a small bathroom with too many finishes. A bamboo plant that does not require much maintenance could be the ideal organic element to add. Joseph Throssell of Michele Throssel Interiors says, ‘The golden rule is to never add more than three organic elements in a bathroom.’

Necessary Accessories

Avoid catching a chill and invest in a few new and luxurious fluffy towels to wrap around yourself after a hot bath or shower. Bathroom Butler’s heated towel rails will add a nice touch to your bathroom as well.

Mix materials

Throssell said that he favours, dark hues, greens and bronze as popular materials for the bathroom this Winter.

‘Add handmade tiles, weathered bronze accents or Matt Black bathroom accessories for a wonderfully striking organic feel.

‘Decorating and designing a bathroom is a time to be creative and inventive, but first one must make sure that a bathroom is functional. Although, the ergonomics are imperative when designing a bathroom space, where you draw inspiration from is equally as important.’

Cosy up your bathroom

There is nothing worse than stepping out a warm shower or bath onto a cold tile with your bare feet. Show your feet some love with a cosy rug – remember the thicker the thread, the cosier the rug. Use warm colours as suggested by the Pantone 2018 Winter colour palette such as valiant poppy, ultraviolet or mellow rose.
