Every year, House & Garden SA joins in celebrating National Gin and Tonic Day on April 9 with a collection of gin and tonic recipes. The gin and tonic, or G&T as it is colloquially referred to, is a beloved British icon that has made its way to South Africa and been embraced with open arms. Whether enjoyed on a lively rooftop bar overlooking the Atlantic or savoured on a sweltering day in the bushveld, the refreshing qualities of this classic cocktail are perfectly suited to our warm weather. There are few cocktails that are as refreshing and grounding as the gin and tonic, nor are there many cocktails with as much variety and versatility. Here are three gin & tonic recipes to celebrate National Gin and Tonic Day.
