Providing both residential and office accommodation, this project comprises two tower blocks on a common four-storey podium with a striking glass façade.
Each apartment has a continuous terrace and full-height solar glazing to take advantage of the views. The structure is primarily a reinforced concrete column and slab system with an integral precast concrete façade that enabled the architects to express the sinuous organic forms while providing a sharp-edged finish.
The fenestration is full-height solar glazing with access to the balconies – the ‘stick glazing system’ is used on the apartment floors, with a ‘unitised glazing system’ on the office façade. The high-specification glass reduces solar gain, providing optimal comfort inside the building and a considerable reduction in environmental impact.
