New Kid on the Block

Taking the place of an old warehouse in Jo’burg’s exciting design district, St Leger & Viney has expanded into new, larger headquarters. The chic Kramerville space is inspired by its top drawer brands, among the world’s leading textile and wallpaper designers, including names like GP & J Baker, Zoffany, Mulberry, Elitis and Cole & Son, many of whom have a multi-generational history.

Having operated from their first Kramerville showroom until now, managing director David Ralphs and his team decided to relocate to a new address – a larger, more consolidated, easy-to-access space.

‘In our view Kramerville continues to be the centre of decor and design in Johannesburg and we are thrilled to continue to be at the heart of this vibrant and thriving industry’ – David Ralphs, managing director

The new address on Appel Road in Kramerville lives inside an old warehouse. Honouring its gritty roots, the team, including interior designer Peter Gordon and architect Peter Cohen, have designed a space inspired by the many beautiful brands and their wares. With an aesthetic that’s both modern and industrial, they’ve taken their cue from New York’s Meat Packing district and given the new showroom a fresh appeal with polished concrete floors, a design-focused interior and ample space to show off their drapery offering.

Visiting the showroom, expect to find St Leger & Viney’s local wallpaper and fabric ranges as well as their accessories, not to mention inspired displays curated by Peter Gordon – all the more reason to keep returning for more.

Find their new showroom at 7 Appel Rd, Kramerville, Johannesburg. Visit for more information.
