‘It’s a travel-bag mix of creative talents and things collected along the way – because I wanted them, couldn’t or shouldn’t buy them, and convinced myself that one day I would own a shop. Well, it appears now I do,’ says The Pomegranate Studio founder and interior designer Josie Hemingway.
Her studio, located in Cape Town’s colourful Bo-Kaap, is a collection of intriguing decor, interior design, art and fashion; a cool mix of unique finds from around the world. Along with friends and style curator Catherine Bowen and artist in residence Sue Bailey, The Pomegranate Studio offers a little something for everyone, with new stock and treasured finds added regularly.
An interior design doyenne with experience in the Far East, not to mention a lifetime of travel and a penchant for far-flung destinations, Josie has returned ‘home’, and brings with her the experience, flair, culture and perspective garnered from her travels abroad.
Visit the studio at 72 Rose Street, Cape Town. Contact Josie on +27 78 286 9904.
