New Vancouver eatery puts the ‘B’ in botany

Step into a world where nature and the indoors transcends into one space.

The latest addition to Vancouver’s culinary scene, The Botanist, is exactly this.

Inspired by the principles of botany, the unique space was designed by award-winning agencies Ste Marie Design and Glasfurd & Walker.

Layered with elements of natural beauty, plants invade the bar, outdoor terrace garden and dining room.

“We have divided the space into quarters – with each area having a bit of its own personality,”  Ste Marie founder Craig Stanghetta told Dezeen.

The restaurant’s outstanding feature is the Garden. It invites guests to linger in a glass-walled conservatory filled with greenery, a trellis and more than 50 types of plant species.
