Local television and radio personality, Bonang Matheba recently gave Top Billing an exclusive tour of her new lavish Waterfall Country Estate home.
The high-security estate located in Midrand is evolving into a highly sought-after district, boasting of beautifully crafted homes which are both architecturally and environmentally sustainable. Features of the estate include luxe lifestyle facilities, walking and biking trails, a clubhouse that features a gym, squash courts, studio’s, climbing wall and restaurant as well as state-of-the-art security.
Century Property Developments architect, Joanne Reynolds designed the businesswoman and style icon’s home, with input from Matheba of course. It is the perfect balance between industrial and modern. The exposed steel, timber and concrete walls and staircase are all raw elements that bring a natural feel and warmth to the home. The house also features a garden, a swimming pool, a black and white themed patio and entertainment area.
The interior was designed by Century Property Developments’ Jessica Hofmeyr. Matheba’s framed magazine covers and a few beautiful family portraits line the industrial concrete staircase and entrance hall. In between the tones and fabrics, Hofmeyr used to soften the concrete and industrial features of the home, Matheba’s personality comes through with the scattered pops of colour and the use of gorgeous flowers and plants. Matheba and team made a DIY project out of the mirrors added for a reflective measure in the upstairs living area.
For the full home tour, we visually experienced the kitchen with its seamless and hidden storage, the main bedroom and its majestic view and other sections that make this home warm, comfortable and ultimately spectacular.
