Endless Atlantic

Nowhere in architect Stefan Antoni’s home was his vision clearer than in the living room with its organic shapes, raw textures and dramatic volumes. The wire pendant light contrasts yet complements the wooden dining table and concrete flooring.

Staying Power

Best known for its earthy approach to glamour, Cécile & Boyd’s roots an urban apartment in forward-thinking finishes that are one of a kind. A dark stained Mirlino stool takes pride of place in the bathroom, which features a sculptural bath from Dado. The equally sculptural light fixture contrasts the dark wood panelling.

A Warm Reception

Dining chairs with a Protea motif embroidered on the back are practical and decorative. The owner updates an 18th-century chandelier with a contemporary tube shade.

Natural Order

In the dining room of a Ruth Duke designed interior, a Hellooow chandelier hangs above a Pierre Cronje table. The room’s wood-on-wood tones are lifted by the warm copper accents.

Contemporary Classic

The entrance hall in a Tessa Proudfoot-designed Joburg home features a monochrome palette which provides a neutral platfrom for a play on scale. Major impact is provided courtesy of panelling-pattern Andrew Martin Engineer Collection ‘Regent’ wallpaper from Halogen International. A black wrought-iron chandelier designed by Purple Dot Lighting provides a link between the banister and the dark-stained cabinet. Well balanced and perfect.
