This Danish-Designed Trolley Will Probably Be the Most Versatile Piece of Furniture in Your Home

Featuring a scalloped silhouette, the poetic shape of this colourful range of drink trolleys will bring a touch of playfulness to any room. Forming part of Danish brand Hay’s Arcs collection, this trolley is simple in its material but beautiful and complex in its expression.

”For us, a good object is always very technical and poetic at the same time,” says the Belgian design duo Muller Van Severen who designed the trolley. ”The curves in this object are not random, they have a function.“

We picked up our Arcs Trolley at Inova Concept Store in Cape Town’s Harrington Street after drawing inspiration from the scalloped headboard trend we’ve seen in many beautiful homes. It is very unusual for a visual element or motif of a product to be able to be carried through so many different pieces of home decor, like accessories, headboards, or even lights.

Designed to be used widely, the trolley comes in two sizes so it can be used as kitchen or office storage, for serving drinks, as a side table between seats, or in any other room in the house. This trolley may seem like a simple, small piece of furniture, but its strong presence is suited to a multitude of spaces and storage possibilities.

Like in the rest of the Arcs Collection, this Arcs Trolley is made from stainless steel and come in a range of colours, including Dusty Grey, Jade Green, Steel Blue, and Auburn Red.
