There are boutiques that invite you to shop, and then there are those that make you wish you could just move in. At 95 Mount Street, the London flagship of cult fashion label Réalisation Par, the distinction feels wonderfully blurred.

Designed by London-based interior designer Sophie Baker, the space is less a conventional retail destination than an intimate, imaginatively layered residence. Drawing on French and Italian modernist interiors, Baker has created a world of softened geometry, deco-inspired forms, and opulent materials that feel effortlessly glamorous.

“We wanted it to feel like you’ve stepped into a scene from a film you can’t quite name, but desperately want to live in,” says Baker.

A Study in Layered Luxury

From the moment you enter, the boutique reveals a thoughtful interplay between architectural structure and tactile richness. Bespoke-pigmented walls, newly introduced molding and neutral Pierre Frey silk create a refined backdrop, while original hand-painted Fortuny lanterns draw the eye upwards.

A rare parchment-covered Osvaldo Borsani desk and custom Josef Hoffmann wall lights introduce a sense of collected history. A series of arches frame a formal walkway, where iron rails provide an industrial contrast to the softness of the brand’s signature silk dresses.

Instead of feeling too decorated, the interiors have the quiet confidence of a space assembled over time, with selected antiques sitting comfortably alongside contemporary, bespoke creations.

Softened geometry and a restrained material palette create an atmosphere that feels both intimate and effortlessly glamorous.

A Secret Room Worth Discovering

Behind a concealed entrance lies one of the boutique’s most intriguing features: a content room that feels like stepping into a private fantasy.

Baby-blue silk panels extend towards a gathered ceiling, highlighted by a red-tasselled Hoffmann pendant. Below, a bespoke leopard-print carpet introduces a playful note, while integrated cameras project visitors onto a wall of vintage television screens.

The experience brings together analogue nostalgia, allowing visitors to capture their moment in the space and send the footage directly to their phones.

Artworks take its place as an integral part of the interior narrative, a thoughtful dialogue between art, architecture, and design.
A considered balance of antique treasures and bespoke design lends the interiors a collected quality.

The Apartment at the Heart of It All

Beyond the arches, the boutique opens into a warm, apartment-inspired rear salon. Walls covered in vellum goatskin give the room a subtle richness, while custom tiger-burl wood minibars provide champagne and coffee.

For something stronger, a vintage red telephone bearing the words “Call for Martinis” provides a rather charming invitation to indulge. Cocktails are delivered from Scott’s across the road, turning a simple shopping visit into something closer to an evening at a private residence.

Nearby, a restored chemical-film photobooth, one of only 100 in the world, offers another opportunity to take home a tangible memory. Reimagined with a tiger-print interior, it produces authentic film strips that feel wonderfully out of step with the transient nature of digital photographs.

Downstairs, the mood shifts into a glamorous dressing-room chamber, where restored oak, mirrored walls, and high-gloss finishes frame a custom leopard-print parley and an artwork-inspired screen commissioned from Gergei Erdei.

A New Chapter for Sophie Baker Design

For Baker, 95 Mount Street marks her studio’s first full-scale commercial project, following more than a decade in the industry, including seven years at Soho House, where she led projects across the UK, Europe, and Asia.

Her approach brings together a longstanding appreciation for antiques, British textiles, bespoke furniture, and considered craftsmanship. Here, that sensibility finds an especially expressive space.

The boutique has since attracted ample attention online, with its interiors becoming a destination in their own right. Yet beneath the social-media appeal lies something more enduring: a space designed to make people feel, explore, and to stay a little longer.

At 95 Mount Street, the art of shopping becomes the art of living – and the most memorable interiors are those that leave you imagining the life you could lead within them.
