‘Tis the season for colour, paint colours, that is. Leading paint brands are coming out with their picks for the 2023 season and we’ve seen some great choices. So far, UK brand Dulux has launched their neutral tone Wild Wonder in mid-September. Now, California-based brand BEHR has announced their choice for 2023 - Blank Canvas.
The colour of the year is an important event for paint and interior companies as it sets the tone for the upcoming year. The colour choices are determined through trend reports, global research and consumer need. The yearly choice is what informs upcoming interior trends, home renovations and even decor options. The list is endless and we’ll see it trickle through various industries in the coming months.
Founded in 1947 and originally a wood-stain manufacturer, BEHR now sells paint to North American markets. Blank Canvas is described as a ‘hopeful and welcoming warm white with limitless possibilities to help transform any vision into a reality.’
While white might seem like a bit of a standard colour (or non-colour) the upside is that it goes with literally everything. You can choose where and how to use this shade, from your spare room, entry way to a yoga studio. It’s all up to you. BEHR has put together a selection of overall colour trends for 2023, beyond their Colour of the Year.
