Welcome to the third dispatch of the official 2023 House & Garden SA Gift Guide! Throughout November and December, we will showcase our favourite objects and gifts for any kind of person and occasion in your life. Picture guides for foodies, stocking-stuffers, and of course those who seem to have everything (trust us, they definitely don’t).

With just over a month until Christmas day celebrations, we have been wondering what would be on Christmas wish list of a person who just cannot start the day without their morning coffee fix. Given that it a daily cup of coffee is more than a daily habit, but more of a ritual, it might be worth indulging someone in this small, but mighty ceremony.

Aeropress

For those who enjoy a stronger coffee, an Aeropress can be a fantastic gift. It provides a convenient way to make espresso-style coffee at home. Try it with Espresso Style blends to create a smooth and flavourful espresso.

pour-over kit

A pour-over kit includes a dripper, filters, and a kettle. It offers a more hands-on approach to brewing coffee and allows the user to have precise control over the brewing process.

Moka pot

Also known as a stovetop espresso maker, a Moka pot brews strong, rich coffee by passing boiling water pressurised by steam through ground coffee. Look out for a coffee blend that is a dark roast which is rich and full bodied, perfect for use with a Moka pot.

Coffee Mug Warmer

If you are going to stick with the coffee mug, why not get one with an accompanying coffee mug warmer? This way your recipient will always have a hot cup of coffee to enjoy.

Coffee Liqeurs

For a twist, consider coffee liqueurs or syrups that can be used to create coffee-inspired cocktails or flavourings. Another idea for coffee lovers is giving the tools they need to decorate their space with coffee-themed artwork, posters, or prints that celebrate their love for coffee. Take their love for coffee into their home décor.

Coffee Bean Stocking Stuffer

When it comes to stocking fillers, why not wrap up a bag of their favourite speciality coffee beans? We recommend popping into speciality coffee purveyors like Deluxe Coffee Works, Father Coffee, Pauline’s, Bean There, and Espresso Lab. This is the perfect size for hiding from the family, travelling over the holiday season and even storing in their desk drawer in the new year.

A good quality burr grinder can make a significant difference in the taste of coffee. It allows for a consistent grind size, which is crucial for brewing great coffee.
