Go Inside the Mind of Thabisa Mjo of Mash.T Design Studio
Having just showed during the 2024 Milan Design Week in Ventura Future, all eyes are on Thabisa Mjo of Mash.T Design Studio.
Our Editor-in-Chief Catherine Mo sat down with the South African designer, Thabisa Mjo to learn more about what it takes to be a major player in today’s competitive local design world. Thabisa Mjo told us: “Design helps keeps heritage alive not only in our imaginations but in our physical spaces. It also ensures the continued existence of it because crafters, artisans are incentivised to continue doing this work and teach younger generations. Designs enables this to happen because it is a vehicle to create economic opportunities for these practitioners, these cultural artists”.
