It’s no secret that Argentine professional footballer Lionel Messi lives large.

Recently, the soccer star dropped R106 million for the entire floor of a luxury condominium in Saint Isles Beach, Florida, The Real Deal reports.

Messi’s new seaside condo is on the ninth floor—one away from 10, his official player number on the FC Barcelona team.

It’s a four-bedroom property that overlooks the beach, and with summer almost here, we totally understand the athlete’s decision to close this deal before the season begins.

To say the views at this place are stunning would be an understatement. With the floor being so high up, the home feels like one with the sky.

Beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows that let all the sunlight and scenery in, there’s also a terrace spanning 2,100 square feet where Messi and his family can soak up more of the sun.

Inside, there’s an impressive 1,000-bottle wine cooler and luxury amenities exclusively designed for the 39 residences.

Homeowners at Messi’s new building have access to a total of six pools, a spa with a hot tub, a fitness centre, yoga studio, and much more.

It’s not the first time Messi has nabbed an ocean-view abode in this city. In 2019, he reportedly bought a unit in Saint Isles Beach’s nearby Porsche Design Tower for R72.5 million. Messi also has a R101.4 million Mediterranean-style home in Barcelona, where he’s lived most of his life.

We wonder which of his sunny spaces he’ll be spending the most time in this summer.
