The brief for this house in an urban gated estate was for optimal transparency. This sheer effect, together with its open-plan design, allows for a seamless merging of indoors and out. Timber and concrete structural elements supporting the floating roof and floor slabs act as privacy screens as well.

Sea and garden views are maximised through the use of large glass panes and minimal framing and structural support. Glass as a feature element is echoed in details throughout, from skylights and balustrades to the front door, all contributing to its sense of weightlessness.
