Listing Jozi, South Africa’s first property reality series, returns to BBC Lifestyle (DStv channel 174) this week, with a new episode dropping every Wednesday at 8pm from 31 May. You can also watch it on Thursdays at 5pm and on DStv catch-up.
Produced by PD Productions, Listing Jozi gives us exclusive access into some of SA’s most luxurious properties. With houses ranging from R10 million to R150 million, in suburbs such as Houghton, Sandton, Northcliff, Blair Atholl, and Eye of Africa, there is no shortage of aspirational opulence, allowing you to tour your dream home from the comfort of your couch.
The show sees the familiar season 1 agents Grahame Diedericks, Lara Nathan, Edgar Nche, Jabu Mazibuko and Ryan Kwan stepping things up a notch as the current buyer’s market explodes for the greater affluent Johannesburg suburbs. Beautiful homes, stunning views and gorgeous decor are all things that make Listing Jozi such a talked about show that we cannot wait to get stuck into tonight.
We are also introduced to a new agent, Wilhelm Khumalo, who gives us a glimpse into the Dainfern & Dainfern Valley mansions and the opulent Steyn City properties.
This season also features a roster of famous faces, including Fhatuwani Muhkeli (EP1), Theo Baloyi (EP3), Maps Maponyane and Ndavi Nokeri (EP4), Izelle Hoffman (EP 8) and Proverb (EP 9). As usual, the agents are hard at work securing the highest listings and furthering their respective careers.
Here’s what to expect from each of them this season:
Wilhelm Khumalo
A new vibrant face to the Listing Jozi cast, Wilhelm shares some of his high-end Dainfern and Dainfern Valley listings with potential clients as well as securing his highest listing right off the bat at the beginning of the season. Wilhelm quickly expands his area into other high-end suburbs like Blair Atholl and Steyn City.
Grahame Diedericks
Season 2 of Listing Jozi sees Grahame opting for a more balanced lifestyle and way of conducting business, although it is short-lived and he is soon thrust back into the hustle of Joburg real estate listing. He is rewarded during the season with an opportunity to travel to Mauritius on behalf of a local client, as he gets to swop Jozi traffic with cocktails on the beach, even though it is only for a few moments as business in Waterfall and Blair Atholl never ends.
Ryan Kwan
Continuously one of the most successful agents within Johannesburg, Ryan successfully lists and sells magnificent properties in the Meyersdal Eco Estate as well as venturing out into bigger business opportunities by landing a billion rand development with his business partner Warrick at the prestigious Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club.
Jabu Mazibuko
Fledging out on her own with her own team of agents working under her guidance, Jabu broadens her network as well as area of expertise from not just the south of Jozi, but also now showcasing areas like the Vaal, Serengeti, Dainfern as well as Hurlingham and Eye Of Africa.
Lara Nathan
Composed as ever, Lara does what Lara does best, and that is list and sell some of the most magnificent homes in Morningside, Sandton. Using of the current buyer’s market post Covid in her favour, Lara generates strong leads which often creates recurring and long-lasting relationships with her buyers and sellers.
Edgar Nche
Edgar lavishes the opportunity given to him after the first season of Listing Jozi by running with every possibly listing he can get his hands on. He finds himself quickly becoming a niche Northcliff agent, specialising on opulent high-end family homes, although sales aren’t always as easy as it seems and the room for success as a fully developed high-end agent, often seems a very hard and patient path to climb.
