Generally speaking, when the world’s most followed celebrities post anything on the ’gram, we pay attention. Add to that, anything that allows a glimpse into the rarefied and privileged worlds they orbit, and you can see why a single shot of Ariana Grande’s Beverly Hills balcony racked up over 1.6 million likes. Of course when you’re dealing with followers in the hundreds of millions, it’s not hard to attract likes, but it certainly begs the question: which celebrities have the most liked homes on Instagram?

According to data collected by UK property buyers GoodMove, the top five most liked celebrity homes all have one thing in common: they belong to a cohort of extremely well-known American females. While the total number of followers on each celebrity’s account certainly plays a part in how popular their home is, the number one most liked home didn’t, in fact, belong to Ariana Grande—currently the most followed woman on Instagram.

Although, if you’re thinking it might belong to a member of the ultra-famous Kardashian clan, you’re definitely on the right track. Keep scrolling to see which A-lister takes the top spot of most-liked home on Instagram.

5. Kim Kardashian West

She might be about to kick off one of the new decade’s most talked-about divorces, but that doesn’t make us any less interested in the fate of the sprawling Axel Vervoordt-designed mansion she shares with Kanye (actually, we’re more invested than ever). Kimye’s Calabasas home copped a bit of flack when it was first published on Architectural Digest last year, due its sparse styling choices and supremely monastic interior—but really, what could one expect from a man who’s obsessed with neutrals?

Opinions aside, Kardashian West’s 207 million Instagram followers lapped it up, gracing her house posts with over 900,000 likes and an average of 8,206 comments.

4. Ariana Grande

The megastar singer boasts some 224 million Instagram followers and is easily one of the biggest names in pop. While her feed is a carefully curated mix of selfies, videos and promo posts, Grade—unlike the Kardashian/Jenners—has never officially shared her home in all its glory. What we do get are snippets of balcony doors overlooking the Hollywood Hills, glimpses of oak cabinetry or her dogs curled up on the lounge.

Yet, even without an army of Architectural Digest photographers and stylists to shoot her home, these posts amass an impressive average of 1.7 million likes and nearly 10,000 comments apiece. Not bad, Ari, not bad.

3. Gigi Hadid

The new mother may be sheltering in place in New York with partner Zayn Malik and baby daughter Khai, but at least she has a homely space to reside in. Sharing her self-decorated apartment with her 64 million Instagram followers last year, Hadid’s penchant for brightly coloured rugs, pop art and candy-hued pasta had many commenting on her eclectic taste.

Perhaps it’s worth reminding the haters that Hadid is just 25, and her fun-filled interiors reflect just that. With her posts garnering some 2.1 million likes and over 10,000 comments, it seems her fans also agree.

2. Kendall Jenner

Like the rest of her family, Kendall Jenner has laid down roots in Los Angeles, purchasing a stunning Mediterranean-style home in the same town she grew up in. Enlisting the help of design duo Kathleen and Tommy Clements, as well as Waldo Hernandez, the model’s low-key, layered approach to interiors was a surprise to many. “I like a house that has character,” she shared with AD. “When I walked into this place, I was immediately drawn to the peaceful Spanish-y, farmhouse-y vibe.”

With 154 million Instagram followers to boot, Kendall’s cosy, vintage-inflected hideaway was a hit with fans, clocking over 3.8 million likes and over 13,500 comments. Little wonder her home made the cover of that month’s AD.

1. Kylie Jenner

She may be Kendall’s sister, but you couldn’t find more a diametrically opposed interior style than Kylie Jenner’s. While both Jenner homes feature neon artwork by Tracey Emin, that’s about as far as the similarities go. The younger Jenner worked with the Kardashian family’s long-time interiors go-to, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, on her Hidden Hills mansion, populating the space with punchy pop art, slick mirrored surfaces and confectionary coloured furniture. And in true Keeping Up With the Kardashians form, the house was featured on the cover of Architectural Digest.

Thanks to her 218 million Insta-followers, the house was an unequivocal hit, attracting over 4.1 million likes and over one million comments. Whether you love or loathe it, the beauty mogul’s aesthetic is hard to ignore—and the data doesn’t lie.
