Winter welcomes all things warm and cosy, and what’s cosier than a fireplace? There are many ways to turn your fireplace into a statement piece. We’ve compiled a list of our favourite mantelpiece designs to give you inspiration.

Height Advantage (Above)

A tall flue is the perfect opportunity to showcase larger collectables. Here, traditional Africana is contrasted with the modern Calore fireplace.

Go With the Flow

Echo the ornate detailing of a French-style fireplace mantel with objects in a similar form for a classic approach.

Uniform Benefits

If the mantel is shallow, opt for simple symmetry and add a pop of colour.

Get the Feels

Make sure to have highly textured pieces if you intend to follow a single-tone scheme.

Time After Time

Use modern art and graphic patterning to give an antique wooden fireplace an updated and more contemporary feel.
