Founded in contrast, the new Horizon Outdoor Collection from Weylandts embodies the harmony found where opposing forces meet. The materials and textures act as a metaphor for equilibrium — the tension of the sun setting behind a horizon line, the jagged mountain edges framing a valley, or the cooling dusk air settling over warm soil. In these fleeting intersections, beauty reveals itself.

For Chris and Anna Weylandt, design is rooted in connection. Their creative journeys, shaped by long-standing relationships with artisans across distant landscapes, infuse each piece with depth and meaning. Every curve, grain and texture is informed by intimate knowledge of materiality — a testament to Weylandts’ identity as an alchemy of global ideas and local roots. It is in this meeting of raw form and bold design that the brand’s signature character emerges.

Organic materials and sculptural forms meet in pieces that evolve with their surroundings, settling naturally into the landscape

Smoke-finished teak is a standout of the collection. Hand-selected for its rich natural oils and confident grain, the timber mirrors mountain silhouettes through its sculptural frames. Designed to weather and age with the land, these elemental pieces embrace the markings of time, easing into their environment with grace.

This season also introduces two new modular sofa ranges — Paloma and Havana — designed for both indoor and outdoor living. Generously proportioned and effortlessly inviting, they speak to the collection’s spirit of natural ease and adaptability, bringing softness and comfort to contemporary outdoor spaces.

Soft, generous silhouettes offer seamless indoor–outdoor living, embodying the collection’s spirit of ease, comfort and connection

Woven rope details add further narrative, echoing the organic veining of leaves and indigenous thicket. Crafted for endurance, each strand carries the memory of its making, adding quiet artistry and tactile dimension to the collection.

Complementing these ranges are sculpted loungers, shaped for languid afternoons and sun-drenched pauses. Their gentle lines and considered proportions echo the undulating horizon itself — relaxed, grounded and timeless, capturing the suspended calm of a day at rest.

“I’ve seen many horizons in my life. From Indonesia to Namibia, they inspire me to think bigger. That’s how I wanted this collection to feel. Like a beautiful moment in time.” ⁃ Chris Weylandt
