Living in a home with a tiny garden or outdoor area doesn’t mean you can’t make the most of what you’ve got. If you get creative with lighting, your plant layout and the furniture you choose, it is easy to create a space that seems larger and more enjoyable to spend time in.

Consider adding a fire pit in the centre of the garden, transforming a small side garden with parquet tiles and chic patio furniture or building an elevated garden that is lit up by romantic fairy lights at night. Take a look at a few small garden design ideas we found on Instagram that will definitely take your tiny garden from drab to fab.

It’s a dull rainy day here on the Wirral so I’ve cleaned and tidied all morning now I’m getting ready to pop to the gym and then Home to chill for the rest of the day! • As part of this year’s kitchen renovation, we will also be revamping our very small back garden and I’m aiming for something like the above! • When buying the house, we weren’t put off by the small garden area as the rooms inside were so spacious with a great big kitchen at the back and especially with such a poor climate here it wasn’t really a big deal! • However, I still want the area to feel like a lovely external room, with the Nicole’s I want to be able to fully open them on a lovely sunny day and kind of use the outdoors space as an extension to the kitchen (if that makes any sense). • So while it’s not big enough for huge trampolines for the kids we can still sort a nice seating and bbq area and I’m planning on having loads of fairy lights too! #outdoors #backgarden #smallgarden #smallgardenideas #instahome #gardendesign #landscaping #lanterns #fairylights #solarlights #bbq #bifolddoors
