Leyla Uluhanli, a prominent interior designer based in Moscow, has just released her latest artistic offering in the form of a coffee table book.

Mosques: Splendors Of Islam is a celebration of Islamic architecture, and features exquisite photographs by giving a glimpse into the strikingly visual world of Islam.

The book illustrates over sixty of the most revered mosques, from historic monuments such as the Great Mosque of Cordoba to dynamic new designs like the Sancaklar Mosque in Turkey.

Uluhanli has also included historical information by covering the earlier origins of mosques in Mecca and Medina.

Born and raised in Baku, Azerbaijan, mosque architecture has always played a definitive role in Uluhanli’s approach to design.

Her company Leyla Uluhanli Interiors has worked on projects in Russia and abroad.

Mosques: Splendors Of Islam is published by Rizzoli

Below is a selection of images of some of the mosques featured in the book.
