For the eleventh instalment in this ongoing series, the H&G team dug deep in their saved archives to share designs, people and interior pieces that inspire them. With so much design inspiration and limited characters, here are our favourite posts of the week. We hope it inspires you too!

Wine farm delights

This week I got to spend a day with the Spier Wine Farm family and met the very talented artist, Alice Toich who did a live painting of the landscape as we enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the winelands. She captured not only the mountain range, but the aura of the afternoon which was one filled with happiness. Alice described the moment as 'The evening was heavy with atmosphere and a hazy rose-coloured layer of sandy air sat above the horizon. Grabbed this pic after the last rays of warm sun beamed across the scene. Hopefully the painting captures a moment of their luminosity.' - Yashna Balwanth, Senior Features Writer

Renovation inspiration

I absolutely love home renovations and can spend hours on IG and TikTok looking at before and after photos and this video is no different. I must’ve watched it five times consecutively. The fact that we can transform the old and neglected into something breathtaking is incredibly special. - Lesley Mathys, Group Managing & Syndication Editor

Pops of colour

I’m in love with this mix of colour, art and antiques in this Parisian apartment. There’s just something so beautiful about how personal and curated this place is. I find myself gravitating towards more colour in my space and this apartment is definitely on my moodboard. - Alyx Carolus, Digital Content Creator

Rest and recharge

I mean how gorgeous is this place? It's giving summer in the Winelands, unwinding after a long year that is my kind of vibe. This place is breathtaking and I can't wait to pay a visit once I have enough time to just go away and recharge. - Arthur Mukhari, Digital Traffic Manager

As I rise

I find Maya Angelo’s poetry inspiring and poignant, especially this video on love. She highlights why love is such a crucial part of the human experience and how it liberates us. Most importantly, how important it is to start with loving yourself. - Vine Lucas, Digital Campaign Manager
