Dark kitchen, sounds intriguing, doesn’t it? It simply means that the kitchen or restaurant solely offers a takeaway service to diners. No reservations or dinners by candlelight, just take out, and in this case, the healthy gourmet kind.

Well-travelled MasterChef SA season 2 winner, Kamini Pather, is renowned for her Girl Eat World travel show and her recent collaboration with UCOOK, the innovative healthy dinner solutions company.

Earlier this year, Pather partnered with local dinner kit delivery service, UCOOK, for which she created 12 recipes designed to last subscribers six weeks. The dishes were influenced by her Durban heritage and the cuisine she’s experienced on her extensive travels.

Pather has named her new healthy food delivery service Füdy and her unique culinary offerings will be bringing a healthier option to the takeaway industry in the country.

I present you with the “fruit of my brain”, @fudydelivery. It’s a macronutrient weighted, made-to-order, meal delivery service that I am launching on the 1st of Nov. Each dish is comprised of enough protein, carbs and fats to keep your fitness and life goals in check, whilst also keeping your taste buds cheering. This is one of those #lifehacks that I needed - get home hungry but don’t have the energy to shop or cook. But I still wanted my meals to deliver on nutrient content and flavour. Enter @fudydelivery. Come join me on the IG page, I’ll be sharing more info on each chef-inspired meal in the coming days. Expect to get real saucy with plant-based Alfredo (cashew nut cream with portobello), satay (turmeric root and lemongrass with coconut milk), pomodoro plus (roasted tomato and garlic), mushy peas (garden peas with avo and mint), “buttery” curry (roasted masala with cold coconut oil) all paired with low GI carbs, the freshest veggies and proteins derived from consciously sourced plant or animal sources (crispy tofu, chickpea and Nigella seed smash, black bean and quinoa falafels). Coming soon!!! *skips around the room* #capetown #news #food #fudydelivery #foodiesofinstagram #plantbased

Pather’s active and healthy lifestyle inspired her to start making food that serves a purpose and makes a difference in people’s lives.

Füdy’s menu will consist of dishes with a balanced carbohydrate, protein and fat ratio. The chef’s signature menu will mostly be plant-based however for those with a bit of a carnivorous craving will have the option of a meatier protein.

This is the plant based satay sauce. It’s coconut milk infused with turmeric root, raw peanut butter and fresh lemongrass. Some have said that they would stake their life on this sauce. Others have been inclined to believe “them”. This signature dish is paired with flash fried zoodles (zucchini noodles), charred snap peas, baked aubergine and a Füdy exclusive, black bean and quinoa bombs held together with tahini. ⠀ ⠀ Available exclusively on @ubereats_za from 1 Nov. ⠀ ⠀ Come on, let’s get saucy. Lick. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #vegan #eatclean #macronutrient #capetown #fudydelivery #eatlocal ⠀ ⠀ 🍽: @KlompCeramics
