Since 2011, Devilliers Du Toit Architects, a relatively young Gauteng based practice, has created elegant and timeless homes giving their clients a break from their rushed lifestyles.

Devilliers Du Toit and his team designed House Zeelie, House G and House JTA all located in Southdowns Estate, Centurion. The beautiful House Zeelie was constructed on a narrow, north facing stand and boasts just the right amount of light and space for the captivating interior.

Devilliers said, ‘The living spaces open up onto a compact garden that has been made to appear bigger by the use of a vertical green wall.

‘I have made extensive use of red face brick and white PVC door and window frames again evoking typical details from the Victorian era. The home is very well insulated, with cavity walls, double glazing, floor and roof insulation, and is very comfortable.’

Devilliers and his team also designed House G, for a young family, and House JTA which is a modern take on a traditional farmhouse and even borders a green pasture. Take a look at their stories here.
