After the  art fair, these installations will be disassembled, and every pencil and pot of paint will be delivered into the eager hands of a child at one of our charity partners that appreciate the importance of art in education and child development. Greg is the owner of 5 Birds 3D Design

that specialises in translating an idea/concept into a 3-dimensional reality. They incorporate modern CNC, laser cutting and 3D printing technology as well as traditional fabrication methods working in metals, wood, acrylics and composites. More recently, they have expanded into high-end guitar and musical instrument manufacture.

Art is a Human Investment by Greg Pentopoulis Greg was contracted by Investec to create the “Art is a Human Investment” installations: a wall hanging, a couch and a chandelier. All of these handmade pieces will be on display at this year’s Investec Cape Town Art Fair. His career highlights include:

·      Preferred trophy manufacturer for the Annual National Sport Awards, numerous International cricket Test Series and ODIs, National Professional Soccer League's ABSA Cup, the Sunshine Tour Tshwane Open, to name a few

·      Building a fully functioning Rubik's Cube (1m x 1m x 1m) as a commission for the Goodman Gallery

Art is a Human Investment by Greg Pentopoulis Greg believes that creativity should not be seen as a separate entity in education. “Creativity and creative thinking are integral in all aspects and disciplines from the sciences and mathematics to languages and social endeavors,” he said. Greg graduated from Stellenbosch University with a degree in Fine Arts (Jewellery and Industrial Metal Design). After working as a professional musician for 8 years, he returned to his first love – art.
