Creative and floral décor expert Blomboy, also known as Alwijn Burger, is famous for his breath-taking floral creations made for the likes of Gavin Rajah, Jackie Burger and the British Royal Family.

His eye for detail, colour and texture inspired Weylandts to ask the Cape Town-based floral designer to collaborate with them on their annual Winter revamp by creating a large-scale floral installation for their window display at their Sandton City concept store, titled: The Conservatory of Beauty.

Founder of Weylandts, Chris Weylandt, says: ‘A lot of Blomboy’s work focuses on the preservation of flowers’ beauty, to try and capture it and extend its fleeting and delicate characteristics. Our new Winter 2019 range is about the colours of Winter, the raw textures of nature and the beauty of long-lasting materials like leather and wood.’

Take a look at a few shots of The Conservatory of Beauty, which will be displayed at the Weylandts Sandton City concept store until the end of July 2019, below.
