Summer sunsets are slowly starting to fade and it’s time to get into the autumn/winter nesting mode. Just on time, the ingenious Tom Dixon and his creative team dropped their super chic Felt lighting range, in white, and we are definitely in love with it right now.

What makes this light shade so lovable and unique is that the design provides warmth to any space with both its light and texture. The felt, being the intriguing material that it is, is non-woven and has more in common with paper making than textile production.

Formed using a technique rarely used in lighting and furniture design, the shade is created by heat pressing a double layer of material which is then sculpted into the shape. The collection is made up of two different designs, a pendant and a floor light.

About the Felt light Tom Dixon said, ‘This basic spindly tripod reminds me a lot of how clumsy a flamingo looks - there's something wrong, yet somehow it has its own charm and logic - one that doesn't come from any school of traditional beauty.’

Take a look at the collection below.
