There’s a delicious breeze sweeping through the V&A Waterfront as Time Out Market Cape Town kicks off the 2025/2026 summer season with a sizzling new menu. From October through March, locals and visitors can indulge in a curated collection of seasonal flavours, each dish thoughtfully crafted by some of the Mother City’s most celebrated chefs and restaurateurs.
“Our chefs have outdone themselves heading into the 2025/2026 season, creating dishes that capture the essence of summer while showcasing the best our city has to offer,” says Russ Meyer, General Manager of Time Out Market Cape Town. “From salads to sushi and flavourful curries, we’re confident our new menu additions are where the vibes are at.”
Expect everything from fresh, crisp salads to bold, global comfort food. At Barakat, the lineup features slow-braised carrot and pea bredie (offered with lamb or a vegan twist), fragrant Cape Malay chicken curry, and aromatic fish frikkadel.
Over at Una Más Taqueria, summer gets a smoky remix with roasted artichokes, brussels sprouts, and street corn potato salad, not to mention soft-shell tacos with smoked portobello mushrooms or crispy southern fried chicken.
Sushiya adds a splash of zest with summer rolls and tiger prawn hand rolls, while Ramenhead delivers a chilled take on tradition with cold ramen and sapporo-style tofu miso.
Meat lovers will gravitate to De Vrije’s Die Moerse Morsige Burger, made with free-range beef and crispy onions, and Carne’s lineup of lighter mains including avocado salad, grilled chicken, and creamy penne alfredo.
For spice seekers, Kapoochka brings Indian flair with tandoori king prawns, biryani (in lamb, chicken or veg), and a sweet surprise - masala chai crème brûlée and pistachio kulfi.
NØSH keeps things globally inspired with a breakfast banh mi, Sabich sandwich, and the flavour-packed Saigon sub. And when it’s time to cool off, Unframed Ice Cream delivers with brownie cups and pistachio white chocolate cookies that are as indulgent as they are Instagram-worthy.
“The curated selection of food, drinks, and entertainment throughout the summer season is set to wow those travelling to the city and elevate the summer for locals alike,” Meyer adds. “We’ve worked hard to create dishes that showcase the best of Cape Town's culinary scene.”
Beyond the plate, the market’s lively atmosphere - complete with live music, events, and all-day energy - makes it a must-visit all summer long.
