Funniest Travel Story

This was certainly not funny when it happened. Recently, in January I spent the December holidays in New York City for Christmas. The city experienced the heaviest snow in many years. I needed to catch a flight to go off to my second destination - Atlanta, Georgia.

Due to the weather, the airport had to suspend all flights. I spent an entire afternoon, night - into the next day at the airport, trying to keep warm. Running around from one information desk to the next hoping for updates but each time they resumed flight service, it would snow harder and they would have to cancel. This process happened over 2 days. It was tragic at the time, but I laugh about it now.

My all-time Favourite vacation

Thailand. The country is so rich. It is full of culture. I really enjoy visits there (I have been 3 times). It is the perfect vacation for me because it has the perfect balance of different worlds.

When I want to unwind and relax, there are plenty spots to do this and when the night comes and I am keen for a night out on the streets - there isn't a better place to party. When it comes to exploring history, nature and heritage - this can also be done with ease.

Best meal eaten on a trip

It seems like an easy meal, but you cannot underestimate a traditional Thai Green Curry. This is still my favourite meal here at home but the experience of it is never the same. Once you've had it in Thailand - you can't have it any other way.

Must pack items

I have 3:

Sunscreen, especially if you're going to be out and about a lot. Your skin will love you for it.

A power bank, in today's world, you don't want to lose connectivity because your battery has run out from all the pictures you take on holiday.

Water, this is just so important. Sometimes when you go on an excursion, you might find yourself in places where it is really just difficult to get water. You don't want dehydration to kill your holiday mood.

Travel motto

Sometimes you've got to do away with an overplayed itinerary and go with the flow. Explore, get lost and create fresh, unexpected memories on your travels.

Prized travel souvenir

During my trip to London 2 years ago I picked up the most beautiful vase. I know it sounds random but, every time I have redecorated my home - this vase seems like the one item that can bring the lounge aesthetic together in ways that nothing else can. Sometimes it is the most random, unexpected items that you build a connection with.
