Design aficionados, hotel lovers, freelancers and creatives, this one is for you. The Mighty Fine is a new hybrid hotel set to launch in Strathavon, Johannesburg near Sandton’s CBD in March 2021.

Despite the setbacks COVID-19 has inflicted on the travel and hospitality industry, a new quirky, fun and super stylish design hotel in Jozi is a bold move and a breath of fresh air given the state of the world.

Beyond just a hotel, The Mighty Fine is about the people. It is built to cater to kindred hustlers with access to an all-day community cafe, podcast studio for hire, lobby turned co-working space, public pool, and treehouse bar to connect and create in. Future conscious, community driven, that is what this hotel stands for. An affordable hotel for the design-conscious business traveller, perfect for work and play.

The 61-room hotel will have a mix of studio to three-bedroom suites where modern design, playful interiors, and digital functional perfection, co-exist. While still staying true to the less is more micro-hotel approach, rooms will be styled as comfortable residences, each with a fully-equipped kitchen, locally sourced bath products, and smart TVs.

The Mighty Fine is a collaboration between international award-winning interior designer Tristan du Plessis (Design Hotel™ Gorgeous George in Cape Town, Americano in Dubai and Design Hotel™ Chapter Roma in Rom) and creative duo Jana + Koos.

The team was determined to create an upmarket hospitality experience catering to designers, freelancers and entrepreneurs without sacrificing design for an affordable rate.
