Statues of American citizens George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, who were killed in police brutality, will be going on auction at Sotheby’s Contemporary Art sale.

The proceeds raised will go towards charities founded in each of their names.

The statues were created by artist Chris Caranbuci as part of Confront Art’s SEEINJUSTICE series.

The George Floyd statue, which stands approximately 6-feet tall, is valued between US$100 000 and US$150 000 US dollars. The statue, which was reportedly defaced during an exhibition, has been recently refurbished.
