The idea of rubbing shoulders with some of Cape Town’s most talented designers may seem daunting, but getting to interact with their works is a true pleasure.

For its second instalment, Cape Town Furniture Week (CTFW) welcome’s the public to take part in a celebration of Cape Town’s contemporary furniture design industry. This 4 day design festival in and around the heart of Cape Town invites visitors to discover the CTFW Exhibition, Collective Showcase, as well as walkabout the community on which this corner of the city thrives.

From 14 to 17 February 2024, Cape Town Furniture Week welcomes visitors to explore over 25 venues in 4 different precincts within Cape Town’s city centre from some of House & Garden SA’s favourite stores like Always Welcome and Inova Concept Store, to a very special tour of the Pederson Lennard factory in Maitland.

Each district will also open multiple showrooms (including Pederson Lennard’s newest showroom in the city centre), plus special furniture exhibitions within a few of the city’s galleries. There is something special in every location from new collaborations to the latest products from your favourite designers.

We also recommend joining aperitivo hour in The Gin Bar’s romantic courtyard, where design-lovers and the city’s design talent mingle and indulge in one another’s company on February 15. You will treasure where you are and who you are with as the sense of community both within this part of the city and a sector of a wider industry comes together to give flowers.

The 2024 Cape Town Furniture Week also calls for design-lovers to show appreciation for their favourite designers through voting in the Best in Show category of the CTFW Awards. With considerations for creativity and community, CTFW visitors are encouraged to consider the product, display, and the team who stands out to them.
