There’s something super relaxing about being able to zone out, do your tasks and enjoy a podcast episode in the background. No matter what you’re into, from design podcasts that delve into the history of architecture to shows that discuss art or music - there’s something for everyone. We’ve asked some of the H&G team to share some favourites on their Apple Music or Spotify playlists.

First up we have Managing & Syndication Editor, Walter Hayward’s picks

The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie and Katya

Hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni Katya Zamo and Trixie Mattel - the podcast is comedy gold for fans of the pair (and the show!). From models, moguls, influencers, drag queens, RuPaul's Drag Race contestants to adult performers, actors, and more, Trixie and Katya break down the beauty behind it all.

Violating Community Guidelines

Another duo who are known for laughs, Brittany Broski and Sarah Schauer come together for this comedy-focused podcast where they discuss all corners of the internet. Although, sadly, it seems like the podcast has recently gone on hiatus after the last season.

Next up Piet Smedy, our Editor-in-Chief shared his faves

You’re Wrong About

Running since 2018, You’re Wrong About (YWA) is all about delving into the past and shining light on historical events. Originally hosted by a duo, but now journalist Sarah Marshall is the sole host. According to the official website, each week the show delves into an event, person or phenomenon that’s been miscast in the public imagination.

Normal Gossip

Yes, you read that correctly - this is a show focused on discussing gossip but is all about sharing stories and the human experience. Normal Gossip delivers juicy, strange, funny, and utterly banal gossip about people you’ll never know and never meet. We get a little insight to other people’s lives and the commonalities we all share.

Finally this recommendation came from Digital Editor, Alyx Carolus

The Financial Confessions

An extension of Chelsea Fagan’s The Financial Diet, I find the way she talks about finances insightful - even if it doesn’t always align with my own ideas. The show has also created a spinoff called Too Good to Be True - where the hosts discuss the scams, schemes, and financial cults trying to separate you from your money.
