It’s no secret, South Africans love food, and let’s face it, we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to picking a new place to eat. There’s a reason why some of the best eateries in the world are from our neck of the woods. And no, we’re not complaining.

Whether you’re a seasoned restaurant goer or someone who just started going out to explore our culinary delights, get ready to book your reservations. Why do you ask? Well, the highly anticipated Restaurant Week South Africa is back from 30 September to 30 October 2022.

This time, 120 restaurants from around the country have signed up. That means you can enjoy the experience whether you’re in Cape Town or heading up north to the ever bustling Johannesburg.

The twice-yearly event, held in Autumn and Spring, is a highlight on the culinary calendar. Not sure what the fuss is about?

A worldwide concept, the event focuses on a multitude of top restaurants who offer patrons a chance to try their dishes at a discounted rate. Think 3-course dinner from R245 or a 2-course lunch from R145. It’s value for money while supporting the restaurant industry and getting to discover your new favourite date night or dinner spot.

The popular event is booked up quickly and reservations open on 23 September. Be sure to set your reminders and have a look at some of the sneak peeks - the full list of participating restaurants will be announced closer to the launch date.
