Zeitz Mocaa

The award-winning Zeitz MOCAA (Museum of Contemporary Art Africa) is a bucket-list experience and on Heritage Day, entrance to the largest museum of contemporary art in Africa — will be free of charge to the public from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

DStv Delicious Festival

During this super busy Heritage Day culinary weekend, the sixth DStv Delicious International Festival is bringing the thrill of spring with fine food and great music this heritage weekend on 22 and 23 September at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand. The line-up includes an array of exciting artists such as queen of neo-soul Erykah Badu, our very own Simphiwe Dana, Amand Black, Lira, Sun-El Musician and Tresor, Liz Ogumbo and many more. Festival fans can enjoy some of their favourite food market vendors under one roof on the curated gourmet street food market, the Delicious Mile. Also look out for the VIP Ambassadors luxury suite hosted by Lorna Maseko as well as celebrated South African chef, restaurant owner and TV personality Reuben Riffel's Long - table restaurant.

Lanzerac Wine Celebrates Heritage Day

Lanzerac Hotel & Spa is hosting a special dining experience to celebrate national Heritage Day and to mark the re-launch of the Hotel & Wine Spa. The V&A Expressions of Heritage Festival

Another freebie event is the V&A Waterfront’s  Expressions of Heritage taking place at the the Silo District, at the V&A Waterfront on 23 September from 6 p.m – 9 p.m. Lookout for a night of creativity, art, live music, food trucks, choirs, dancing, screenings of local movies and documentaries, fire-breathing Fire Poi dancers, buskers and comedians. The lineup include local artists Zapiro, Kwezi and Loyiso, Skumbuzo Grafitti, Dani Ngwenya, Yolanda Y’awa and many more.
