Babylonstoren voted the best hotel in Southern Africa

Babylonstoren hotel, situated in one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms, topped the list of the best hotels in Southern Africa!

Babylonstoren is set at the foot of Simonsberg in the Franschhoek wine valley.

It has a fruit and vegetable garden of beauty and diversity, unique accommodation, fine food and wine, and evokes a sense of wellbeing.

The Babylonstoren Farm Hotel achieved a total score of 99.49 and is placed #34 overall for The Best Hotels in the World.

They were only two hotels which were outside of South Africa, in the top 20 of the best hotels in the region.

Meanwhile, the Morukuru Family De Hoop (Morukuru Beach Lodge and Morukuru Ocean House) retaining its no 1 position as the Best Resort in South Africa (2nd in the world) with its sister property Morukuru Family Madikwe scooping the 4th position in South Africa (11th in the world).
