If you’re a fan of eating out or just have a bucket list of local eateries you want to try, then be sure to add Restaurant Week South Africa to your calendar. Last year, over 100 local restaurants participated in Restaurant Week and it’s a highly anticipated event for restaurant goers and owners alike. This time, it’s running from 31 March to 30 April 2023 and reservations open on 24 March.

South Africa is known for having some of the best award-winning globally recognised restaurants and chefs in the world. Restaurant Week is a great way to explore new places without breaking the bank and supporting our local food industry. The event takes place twice a year, usually in spring and autumn and bookings are essential. The best part is that you can find some great lunch and dinner deals throughout the country from Johannesburg to Cape Town and along the Garden Route.

While the official list of participants have not been announced just yet, they have started to share a few eateries that will be taking part in this edition.

You can look out for Cape Town-based Italian eatery Scala and the chic upmarket Johannesburg spot Marble restaurant as some of the restaurant who will be hosting guests for this edition of Restaurant Week. If you happen to be along the wine route, you can also check out Stellenbosh-based Rykaart’s on the list.

Bookmark the date in the calendar and be sure to secure your reservation to avoid disappointment.
