In the summer, Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard is a popular location for residents and tourists alike. It’s for good reason as you can find a host of eateries, bars and beautiful spots to soak up the sun and enjoy the beachfront view. If you’ve been on social media, chances are you’ve seen the launch of The Nines, a rooftop venue and the latest offering from the Kove Collection group.

Located in Sea Point and launched shortly after sister restaurant, Sonny and Irene, The Nines is aiming to offer an chic city experience to guests. The restaurant is located on the, you guessed it, ninth floor in the sleek and sophisticated Station House building on Kloof Road. The interior is filled with warm woods, supple leather and understated neutrals.

The food menu features delicious starters like aged beef carpaccio and Alaskan King crab to get the day/night going. The mains have something for every palette, whether you’re a big seafood lover, love a creamy risotto or enjoy your steak as rare (and decadent as possible). You can pick from the thirty-five day aged steaks or if you really want to celebrate, ask about sixty day dry aged prime rib.

If you’re a big cocktail fan, the drinks menu is also filled with classics like the Moscow mule and margaritas. Alternatively, you can experience a mixologist’s true prowess and ask for one of the masterpieces on the menu.
