Serena Williams sold her home in Los Angeles's Bel-Air neighborhood for $8.1 million recently, after originally listing the property for $11.995 in 2017, reports  The Los Angeles Times. The tennis star still turned a profit, however, having purchased the home for $6.6 million in early 2006. The 6,100-square-foot mansion sits on nearly three acres of rolling lawns and greenery, and features six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The exterior of the home boasts a distinct baby blue façade that gives way to a rustic-chic interior, with the front foyer opening onto an arresting double-height living room, one of the most impressive rooms in the home.

The living room features a curving wall of clerestories and French doors that flood the space with natural light, with a set of stairs leading up and away to the second floor. (A formal dining room tucked just on the other side of the stairs boasts a wall of glass doors that can be opened for optimal flow or closed for a more private dining experience; a chandelier centers the room.) Also on the ground floor is a study and an adjoining wet bar, both of which are finished in dark wood with numerous mirror-backed built-ins for a spectacularly sleek and solid aesthetic.

Perhaps one of the most impressive parts of the home is the multi-room master suite, which includes its own sitting area, dressing room, fitted walk-in closet, and lavish bathroom with a classic claw-foot tub and a separate glass-enclosed steam shower lined with subway tiles. A set of glass double doors leads out onto a private balcony. If that weren't enough, there's also a glam room with all of the accoutrements of a full-service hair salon; red crystal chandeliers add pizzazz to the mirrored space. Out back, a sizable swimming pool and accompanying pool house are surrounded by boxwood-lined pathways, manicured lawns, and, on one end, a covered patio space with an outdoor fireplace perfect for relaxing after a long day.

Presently, Williams resides with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, in a Spanish contemporary style home in Beverly Hills. They purchased the property for $6.7 million in the fall of 2017, just after welcoming their daughter, Olympia, and before tying the knot in a lavish, star-studded ceremony in New Orleans.
