In its fifth instalment since we introduced the series, the team had to dig deep in their timeline and share designs and interior pieces that currently inspire them on our favourite photo and video sharing social networking platform, Instagram. With so much to share and limited characters. Here are our favourite posts of the week.

Ultra-modern meets luxe

I've been following Egyptian design studio LOAK for some time – and this bathroom is exactly why. The space leans into its materiality, but with a restrained palette of only glass, stone and timber, it still manages to achieve ultra-modern meets barefoot luxe appeal. - Piet Smedy, Editor-in-Chief

Fluffy Paintings

Following the ever-growing rug trend and craft (tufting), artist Shishi San (based in Brussels) has taken a step further with what she refers to as 'fluffy paintings' and created 3D fluffy vases. Bright, punchy colours married with a Japanese-inspired patterning make for a very playful must-have. - Thea Pheiffer, Art Director

Arches

Arches all the way. I love everything about this house, from the colour scheme to the decor, but the arches and doors definitely steal the show. - Lesley Mathys, Group Managing & Syndication Editor

Summer in Spain

Oh, how I wish to be in sunny Spain right now! I'm green with envy over (and in love with!) Casa Roca by Studio Quadratmeta, an interior architecture studio based in Mallorca (@quadratmeta). The house, situated in Palma de Mallorca, is slow living personified. With muted colours and a focus on natural light, the house feels airy and sophisticated – perfect for those sweltering Spanish summers. #Goals - Walter Hayward, Managing & Syndication Editor

Functional Furniture

I've been looking for functional furniture that doesn't do too much - which is quite a mission when you occupy a small space. Monarch Woodworx by Suzi McAfee has caught my attention with its diverse collection of pieces that give a home a contemporary feel. Definitely, my next buy! - Esihle Mngini, Junior Copy Editor

A Waterside Home to Last a Lifetime

I am obsessed with this Nantucket home in the New England estate. A collaboration between the young family and designer Nicole Hogarty saw the birth of this estate geared to multi-generational living. For me, it’s the finishing touches and the attention to detail that were put in place to create a dreamy home that will forever be engraved in my mind. - Arthur Mukhari, Digital Traffic Manager
