As the year wraps up, we’re looking towards the start of 2023 and what will be a defining look for design and our homes. If you’ve been online or just following your social media feeds: colour of the year choices have started coming in. Whether you love Dulux, BEHR or Benjamin Moore, there’s some interesting shades to keep an eye on. And now, leading US-based paint brand Sherwin-Williams has finally announced its pick for 2023.

The colour is called Redend Point, a warm taupe shade, that’s a great accent tone for the home. According to the official site, Redend Point is ‘minimal yet cosy, this colour creates a comforting backdrop for the everyday moments that matter’.

Aptly described as ‘if beige could blush’, the warm neutral is a perfect pick for a room or accent wall in your space. If you don’t want to commit to painting your home or you have a rental, why not add this in the form of decor? Think blush-toned lampshades, vases or artwork.

This shade choice is in line with what Dulux and BEHR paint have shared, focusing on neutral tones that feel calming and are meant to remind us of nature. Sherwin-Williams echoes this sentiment as Redend Point a ‘soulful-yet-subtle’ tone and is meant to embrace a spirit of connection with the world around us.

As the year winds down and we see some of what will be showing up in decor trends for 2023, get ready to refresh your space.
