Cape Town’s beloved marina hotel, Cape Grace, has introduced a new way to ease into the weekend. The Linger Longer Weekend Breakfast invites guests to embrace a slower rhythm, transforming the first meal of the day into an experience designed for lingering conversations and unhurried moments.

Launched in March 2026, the breakfast is served every Saturday and Sunday until midday, offering visitors and locals alike an opportunity to reclaim the gentle pace that weekend mornings deserve.

Overlooking the serene marina at the V&A Waterfront, the setting is as appealing as the menu itself — a calm, sunlit space where the bustle of the city feels comfortably distant.

A Breakfast Designed to Be Savoured

The experience begins with a curated buffet featuring warm pastries, seasonal fruit and a selection of thoughtfully prepared breakfast classics. From there, guests can explore a dedicated à la carte menu created for those who believe breakfast should be anything but rushed.

Among the highlights is the Salmon Royale — an elegant take on the classic eggs benedict — reflecting the refined yet generous spirit that defines the hotel’s dining approach.

Executive Chef Wesli Jacobs believes the breakfast table plays an unexpectedly important role in how people connect with one another.

“The start of the day is when people are most present with each other. No distractions, no rushing off. Just the people in front of you and a meal that gives you a reason to stay. That's what we've built this around.”

A Setting That Encourages You to Stay

Framed by views of yachts gently bobbing in the harbour, the dining room offers one of Cape Town’s most tranquil morning settings. It is an environment that naturally encourages guests to settle in — whether lingering over a second coffee, catching up with friends, or allowing family time to unfold without the usual rush.

Now managed by the globally renowned Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Cape Grace continues to evolve while maintaining the warm, intimate character that has long made it one of the city’s most iconic addresses.
