Bold, colourful and proudly South African. These are just a few ways to describe fabric designer, Glorinah Mabaso’s new furniture range.

The beautifully modern Cohesive Roots Collection came to life through an eclectic collaboration between Fabric Bank, a bespoke South African digital fabric printing house, the young and talented fabric designer, Glorinah Mabaso and Furniturespot.

Neutral palettes, bold geometric patterns and careful use of clean lines sums up the collection’s fabric designs. The tribal prints and modern style of the furniture introduce us to Glorinah’s vision of Africa and take us back to her rural roots of Limpopo.

‘The combination of tribal patterns and forward-looking furnishings, creates a beautiful balance symbolising where I come from and where I am now,’ said Glorinah.

The collection consists of a platform bed with a headboard, ottoman and occasional chair. They are made with various soft velvet fabrics matched perfectly with the tribal fabric and golden legs to give it a luxurious finishing touch. Take a look at a few of our favourite pieces from the range below.

Thandeka Occasional Chair
