If you have shelves within your kitchen, style them appropriately to suit the overall decor theme throughout the space. Improving your shelves does not have to be an expensive endeavour, and there are many ways you can spruce them up yourself using quick DIY tricks.
2. Refurbish cabinetry

If you don’t have the budget to replace all your cabinets, give them a lick of paint instead. Repair old cupboards and replace handles or doors that are broken or tarnished to give your kitchen a more aesthetically pleasing look.
3. Play around with colour

Plan the overall theme within your kitchen and which colour would suit the overarching atmosphere you are attempting to create. Decide whether you are going for a calmer aesthetic, where neutral colours would be appropriate, or a bolder look in your kitchen, dominated by brighter hues. To add to the style of your kitchen and give it a more well-put-together appeal, you may want to either refurbish or replace your counters. Have a look at the space (and your budget) and decide whether a full reno of your island and counters would be necessary. If you cannot afford luxurious countertops, you could try faux marble, or natural wood instead.
