As a celebrity in 2018, you don’t have to just be famous for one thing. Whether you model, act, sing or dance, the options for expanding your breadth of knowledge is basically limitless — we are living in a post-truth age, after all, and everyone can be an expert. For some celebrities, their love of extracurricular activities — namely, interior design — is more than just something they do while renovating.

A slew of some of the biggest names out there (think Kanye West, Cindy Crawford and even Brad Pitt) moonlight as secret interior designers, whether it be through their own collections or a passion for design that goes beyond the standard. Proving there’s merit in taking pride in your home, these celebrities make a good case for enrolling in an interior design course, stat.

Kourtney Kardashian

Although she doesn’t technically practice as an interior designer, the eldest Kardashian sister has decorated her entire home alongside Hollywood designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard — which in our eyes is grounds enough for inclusion. Famously passionate about design, Kardashian has been quick to defend her choice of furniture on  Keeping Up With The Kardashians a number of times, and owns over 14 Pierre Jeanneret chairs, some of which can retail for over $70,000 per piece. So, dare to rebuff her design prowess? We’re guessing you might fail that test.

Cindy Crawford

Despite being one of the most famous supermodels in the world, Cindy Crawford’s true passion is interiors. In between magazine covers and raising her family, Crawford found time to start her own furniture business, Cindy Crawford Home, a line of traditional-style sofas, dining chairs and beds — all of which are available in the US.

Iman

In news that will definitely surprise you, '90s supermodel Iman has her own fabric line. Named Iman Home, the range includes a variety of printed textiles inspired by her world travels, and, according to the model, will allow for her customers to have a “great escape” within their own homes. You heard it here first!

Kate Moss

Despite being perhaps  the most famous model in the world, Kate Moss finds time for dabbling in interior design. Just recently, Moss tried her hand at wallpaper design, teaming up with luxury brand de Gournay for a collection, which she even had installed in her own London home.

Diane Keaton

She might be a critically acclaimed actress, but Diane Keaton finds room for her interiors, too. An avid lover of all things design, Keaton has published a whopping three books on the topic, and four of her incredibly-designed homes have graced the pages of  Architectural Digest.

Brad Pitt

Following an encounter with a desk (which he immediately fell in love with), Brad Pitt was prompted to try his hand at designing his own furniture. Teaming up with Frank Pollaro, the duo created Pitt-Pollaro, a high-end range of furniture which takes cues from the Art Deco period — the result is 12 pieces of ultra-modern furniture packed with glass, timber and marble.

Reese Witherspoon

Although it’s no secret the actress loves clothes (she has her own line, Draper James), Reese Witherspoon is also a fan of homewares. She recently collaborated with US-based homewares store Crate and Barrel for a Southern-inspired collection of pretty blue and white plateware and antique-like decor accessories.

Meghan Markle

As the Duchess of Sussex,  Meghan Markle doesn’t have much say in her interior choices — palaces can’t exactly be flipped and renovated, no matter how much we might think they need it. But before she was a royal, Markle was a fan of decking out her Toronto home, which was complete with plenty of art, bespoke candles, and homely throw pillows. Although that house has now been packed up and Meghan has moved to London with her husband, Prince Harry, we can still always relish in the royal’s original laid-back interior style.

Kanye West

Although he’s famous for his music, Kanye West knows a thing or two about high-end design, too. Sharing photos of his and wife Kim Kardashian West’s home on Twitter in 2018, West has made his love of design very clear. Plus, with a close friendship with interior designer Axel Vervoordt, West definitely has the right friends in the industry.
