It is a fact that the majority of people around the world do not live on massive properties with tons of space. From an economic standpoint, middle-class households commonly trade in space for safety and security, which is why micro living and micro apartments have significantly increased in popularity over the past two years, more so in metropolitan cities.
The Falper brand aims to change the way small living spaces are approached when it comes to design by offering the high standard and style associated with big spaces. The Kitchen Living system features three pieces; an island, storage units and tall units which can be rearranged in different ways. The island parts are made of stainless steel or wood, marble and lacquer surfaces. Designer Andrea Federici collaborated on the pieces with Falper and focused on making sure that they flow within an open-living space, typical of a compact abode.
There are three different sizes with the option of adding a sink and/or built-in hob. This kind of design expands the often limited range that designing can go as far as small spaces being luxurious. It could be a gamechanger to introduce living systems of this kind on the African continent - with an affordable price tag, of course.
