On Saturday, 8 November 2025, Glen Carlou Estate will host the first-ever Signature Day - a curated afternoon of fine wine, food, and art in the heart of the Simonsberg valley.
Designed to become an annual highlight for wine and culture enthusiasts, Glen Carlou Signature Day celebrates the estate’s revered flagship wines: the Gravel Quarry Cabernet Sauvignon and Quartz Stone Chardonnay.
From the outset, guests will be welcomed with a glass of Glen Carlou Cap Classique, setting the tone for an afternoon of laid-back elegance. The experience is fully immersive: walk-around tastings of the estate’s entire wine collection, paired with delicate canapés by Chef Eric Bertrand, allow guests to explore at their own pace.
For those seeking deeper knowledge and flavour, vertical tasting sessions in the Glass Vault offer an exclusive look into the evolution of Glen Carlou’s flagship wines. Led by winemaker Johnnie Calitz and sommelier Stefan Reinmuth, these 45-minute guided tastings are included in all tickets - though seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Art and culture play an equally important role. Guests are invited to join curator-led tours with Christa Swart and featured artists, discovering the estate’s latest art exhibition in a relaxed, conversational format - naturally accompanied by a glass of wine.
As the day winds down, the mood turns mellow. Guests can relax with cheese and charcuterie boards, enjoy premium bottle service, and take in live acoustic music, all while surrounded by panoramic vineyard views and the majestic Simonsberg mountain.
