This extraordinary residence belongs firmly in the latter category – a home conceived as "an engaging, multilayered journey in which every movement within is meant to feel logical, beautiful, and slightly theatrical."
Instead of treating each room as a standalone space, the design invites a seamless progression from one area to the next, creating an experience that feels like reading a beautifully written novel rather than just walking through a house.
The journey begins in an unexpected place: a light-filled "white" kitchen designed for quiet morning routines.
Soft FM Bottega cabinetry establishes a calm atmosphere for coffee and breakfast before flowing effortlessly into a dramatic turquoise "black" kitchen, where the serious cooking takes place.
A concealed sliding door allows the two kitchens to function independently or merge into one expansive space for entertaining.
The kitchen island was reshaped into an elegant fan-like form, while bespoke flooring and ceiling detailing echo the table's signature arcade theme.
As the designer explains, "the project ceased to be merely an interior and became a living dialogue between objects."
Beyond the kitchen, the open-plan living and dining spaces balance grandeur with comfort.
A generous seating arrangement encourages multiple ways of gathering – whether it’s watching television, relaxing beside the fireplace, or hosting moments of dialogue – without compromising intimacy.
Organic Serip lighting, Christopher Guy furnishings and carefully selected vintage Baker pieces add warmth and character, while a bespoke marble television wall adds depth to the room with sculptural elegance.
Decorative glass panels, sculptural plaster reliefs inspired by Art Nouveau, and custom stonework in this home create what feels like a contemporary mediation with art history instead of just a nostalgic recreation.
Luxury continues into the private spaces, where craftsmanship is evident in every detail. The master suite revolves around a Christopher Guy bed featuring hand-carved birds – a detail that quietly reappears throughout the room in plaster mouldings and ceiling details.
A green quartzite fireplace introduces natural richness, while carefully layered lighting and seating transform the bedroom into a peaceful retreat.
The adjoining bathroom embraces tactile luxury with large-format porcelain inspired by pink onyx, custom-designed vanities, and an Antonio Lupi bathtub that became, in the designer's words, "a story in itself."
Meanwhile, the dressing rooms elevate everyday routines through bespoke cabinetry, carefully curated furniture, and decorative lighting that blur the line between practicality and indulgence.
In contrast, the cigar room embraces a darker, more atmospheric palette.
Archival wallpapers, layered textiles, Iranian rugs, and bespoke marble detailing create a richly intimate setting where time seems to slow down – a deliberate contrast to the lighter, more expansive living areas.
Ultimately, every room contributes to a carefully considered narrative. As the designer reflects, "nothing is accidental. Every turn, every ornament, every material is part of a single narrative about attention to detail, a love of art, and the ability to transform the functional into the expressive."
The result is a home that is more than just an exhibit of exceptional craftsmanship – it is an immersive experience where architecture, art, and daily life exist in perfect harmony.
